Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is experiencing a major boost in its research strength as multiple departments and laboratories across the campus have been modernized and expanded.
The university has introduced new high-end facilities to support advanced studies in areas such as crop improvement, biotechnology, geospatial intelligence, digital agriculture, and climate-resilient farming.
Several specialized units—ranging from plant tissue culture labs to micro-irrigation systems, biofertilizer production centers, soil mapping facilities, and crop diagnostics laboratories—have been upgraded with state-of-the-art equipment.
These enhancements are expected to significantly accelerate scientific investigations related to plant breeding, pest and disease management, soil health assessment, and sustainable agricultural practices.
Through these research advancements, PAU aims to strengthen innovation in agriculture and provide researchers, including postgraduate and doctoral scholars, with improved resources for experiment-based learning and scientific exploration.
The upgraded infrastructure is also expected to support collaborative projects with national and international research institutions, ultimately contributing to more efficient and climate-smart farming solutions.
