PhD Scholar Honoured with Best Student Award

Priyanka, a PhD scholar in the Department of Microbiology at the College of Basic Sciences and Humanities, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, has been awarded the “Best Student of the Department” for the academic year 2023–24. The recognition was conferred by the Microbiologists Society, India, under the leadership of its President, Dr. Arvind Deshmukh.

As part of her doctoral programme, Priyanka has been engaged in research focused on green technologies for waste valorisation, working under the mentorship of her major advisor, Dr. Pooja.

PAU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, Dean of the College of Basic Sciences and Humanities Dr. Kiran Bains, and Principal Scientist (REE)-cum-Head Dr. Urmila Gupta Phutela congratulated her and commended her for this noteworthy accomplishment.
