GNDEC Holds Convocation for Batches of 2024 and 2025

Ludhiana: 

Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC), Gill Park, organised its annual convocation ceremonies for the 2025 and 2024 batches on December 5 and 6, respectively, celebrating the academic achievements of graduating students across multiple programmes.

The convocation ceremony for the 2025 batch, held on December 5, was presided over by S Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and the Nankana Sahib Education Trust. The chief guest, Dr Susheel Mittal, Vice-Chancellor of IKG Punjab Technical University, delivered the convocation address, congratulating the graduates and encouraging them to enhance their communication abilities, embrace lifelong learning, and cultivate entrepreneurial and leadership skills.

The guests of honour, S Randeep Singh Sekhon, Chief Technology Officer of Airtel, and Dr Sarabjot Singh Anand, Managing Director of Sabudh Foundation and CEO of TATRAS, inspired students to uphold strong ethical values and contribute positively to society through their professional endeavors.

During the ceremony, a total of 569 degrees were awarded to students from the PhD, MTech, MBA, MCA, BCA, and BTech programmes, along with the distribution of 28 gold and silver medals in recognition of academic excellence.

The convocation for the 2024 batch, held on December 6, was presided over by S Maheshinder Singh Grewal, Trustee of the Nankana Sahib Education Trust. The chief guest for the occasion was S Prabhjot Singh, IAS, Director General of Technical Education, Haryana. In his address, he highlighted the importance of adaptability, continuous skill development, and global awareness in an increasingly dynamic professional environment.

The guests of honour, Dr Paramjit Singh, Controller of Examinations at IKG Punjab Technical University, and Dr Gurpreet Kaur, AGM at VolvoLine Cummins, encouraged graduating students to remain committed to their core values throughout their careers.

For the 2024 batch, 527 degrees were conferred across the MTech, MBA, MCA, and BTech programmes, and 26 gold and silver medals were awarded to meritorious students.
