69 PAU Students Succeed in ICAR Entrance Exams

As many as 69 students from Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) have successfully cleared the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) for MSc and PhD programmes, marking a significant academic achievement for the university.
Strong Performance in Postgraduate Admissions
Out of the total successful candidates, 23 students qualified for the ICAR-AIEEA-PG 2023, securing admission to Master’s degree programmes in agricultural sciences. A large proportion of these MSc qualifiers were graduates from biotechnology and horticulture, reflecting the strength of these disciplines at PAU.
PhD Aspirants Excel Across Key Departments
In the PhD category, 46 students earned admission to doctoral programmes across various agricultural universities. The highest number of successful PhD candidates came from the Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics and the Department of Entomology, underlining PAU’s strong research base in these fields.
Top Rankings Add to PAU’s Glory
Adding to the university’s pride, nine students secured ranks of 8 or above, with two students achieving the top rank (Rank 1) in their respective categories, showcasing exceptional academic excellence.
University Leadership Applauds Achievement
PAU Vice-Chancellor Satbir Singh Gosal congratulated the successful students and highlighted that their accomplishments significantly enhance the university’s reputation at the national academic level.
